D-NAVIO: Digital Ship – Mastering Complexity of the Waterborne Digital Transport through “Cloning of the Ship”

D-NAVIO is an innovative EU-funded initiative aimed at advancing maritime safety and efficiency by developing a next-generation digital “clone of ships” through an Intelligent Digital Twin (DT) system. This project integrates explainable AI and self-healing technologies to reduce risksmitigate issues, and improve reliability and safety.

Fruit Flies In-silico – Prevention & Management (FF-IPM)

Introduces “in silico” supported prevention, detection and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approaches for both new and emerging Fruit Flies, based on spatial modelling across a wide range of spatial levels, novel decision support systems, and new knowledge regarding biological traits of the target species, fruit trading and socioeconomics.

SEASTARS – Sustainable Emission Abatement Strategies & Technologies for Advanced Revolution Ships

SEASTARS is an EU-funded project aiming to decarbonize maritime transport by developing and testing eight innovative vessel prototypes. It combines green technologies like hydrogen, wind, and solar power with digital tools to support sustainable ship design and retrofitting. The goal is to cut emissions and improve energy efficiency across various types of vessels.

Blue Generation Project

The Blue Generation Project inspires young people (15–29), especially those not in education or employment, to pursue sustainable careers in the blue economy. It promotes sectors like aquaculture, coastal tourism, and marine biotechnology through training, mentoring, and job-matching tools across Europe.
